Q: How are the animals I see at the market/store sourced?

A: None of the animals represented at our event are harmed or killed for the purpose of art, collecting, or display. All vendors participating in our events are required to source their specimens ethically and responsibly. These specimens may come from a variety of sources, including veterinary clinics, farms, wildlife sanctuaries, natural deaths, roadkill recovery, foraging, and antique or vintage collections.

Rather than being discarded, these animals are given a second life through art, education, and preservation. Whether carefully preserved in a specimen jar, transformed into a taxidermy mount, or incorporated into a unique work of art, each piece serves as a way to honor and appreciate the beauty of the natural world.

 

Q: Are cameras allowed inside the event area?

A: yes, cameras are allowed. We even have photo areas. We do ask you be respectful of the vendors and if they have signage not allowing photo or video, please respect their requests. 

 

VENDOR FAQ:

Q:  What type of vendors do you accept? 

A: We are not looking for your everyday artist… the weirder, the better. If a church craft fair wouldn’t approve your application, you’re probably exactly who we’re looking for. This is a juried event and applying DOES NOT guarantee acceptance. 

Q: Are they're items that are allowed?

A: Yes! We do not allow the sale of AI generated art. We do not allow racist or homophobic art, political or drug-related art, MLMs, or franchise-based businesses. We do not allow the sale of human remains. We no longer allow the sale of taxidermy bat specimens as we cannot confidently confirm that these items were acquired through ethical, respectful, and responsible sourcing practices.
